This Geisha from the Costa Rican region of Tarrazu has vanilla beans and honey, its very floral. The dry fragrance is really pungent with dried flowers, fruits, citrus, and apricot. The wet aroma has a strong sweet molasses, its very floral and bright. Very intense as the crust on the cupping table is broken. The cup might initially seem mild compared to these strong aromatics, but give it time to cool - as the temperature descends, floral and fruited notes ascend. There's a honey sweetness, vanilla, caramel, jasmine flower, fresh citrus, and lime; the fruitiness will grow and change as the cup cools. It's such a sweet coffee, with a juicy body and an acidity that's very balanced. It finishes nicely with This Geisha's overall profile is articulated beautifully, with a marked distinction between its varied characteristics.
