Peaberry refers to the rare (1% of the Elida Estate coffee crop), but natural occurrence of a single, compact bean being produced per coffee cherry, compared to the usual two (there may be some normal beans of the peaberry size). This coffee was hand selected for any imperfections, this will guaranteed an excellent cup. Peaberry beans are naturally blessed with a superior, more intense flavor. When this occurs in Panama coffee, already one of the finest coffees in the world.

Elida Estate qualified for the semi-finals in the 2006 Cupping Pavilion World Competition in North Carolina. It has also qualified for the April, 2006 Panama cupping competition. Quantities are very limited.
